Dora

Dora is a 13 year old female orca who lives at Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park. 

Dora was likely captured in 2015. She was captured in Russia. At some point after her capture, she was moved to Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park, along with three other orcas, to be trained for the opening of Shanghai. The four orcas likely moved to Shanghai in Fall 2018 and the park officially opened on November 16th.

Dora gave birth to her first calf, a male named Pangdoubao, on December 5th, 2023. Unfortunately, she rejected or was unable to care for the calf and he is being hand raised. The father is Pànghǔ.
