Keet is a very gentle orca and was a perfect companion for Halyn. Usually fathers don't play a role in raising calves, though he did very well with her. Sadly, Halyn died on June 15, 2008. He may have also been the father of Unna's stillborn in 2006 and Kayla's miscarriage in 2007.

Keet returned to San Diego again on February 27, 2012. Keet is gentle with other whales and his trainers. Even though he is a submissive orca, he gets along with all of the orcas in San Diego, while in San Antonio the dominant orcas would tend to pick on him more. Keet has never shown aggression towards his trainers and used to do waterworks before they were stopped in 2010. Keet is usually seen with Corky 2, Shouka, Ikaika and Makani, though he spends time with all of the whales. He has done very well with the young calves, occasionally playing with them. Keet is a very lazy whale, often seen relaxing throughout the day.
