Panghu

Pànghǔ is a 19 year old male orca who lives at Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park. He was captured in Russia. Originally, he was thought to be named Wow or Dylan. Wow may have been stage name.

Pànghǔ was likely captured in 2015. At some point after his capture, he was moved to Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park, along with three other orcas, to be trained for the opening of Shanghai. The four orcas likely moved to Shanghai in Fall 2018 and the park officially opened on November 16th. Pànghǔ is the largest orca at the park.

Pànghǔ became a father on September 10th, 2021 when Cookie gave birth to her first calf. The calf is a male named Cody.
