Trua

Trua is an 18 year old male orca who lives at SeaWorld Orlando. His mother is Takara and his father is Taku. He was Taku's first calf. Trua was born in Orlando on November 23, 2005.

Trua is a very sweet and playful whale. He used to do waterworks before they were stopped in 2010. Trua was just learning some basic waterworks and had recently started performing them in shows. He is extremely interactive with guests at the park. He will often play with them in the underwater viewing when he is in that tank. He is very curious and loves playing with any toys or things people bring to the underwater viewing.

Trua became close with his uncle Makaio, who is actually 5 years younger than him. Trua had also become very close with an older female named Kayla. After Trua's mom moved to SeaWorld San Antonio, he was often put with Kayla, who was learning how to take care of calves.

In 2008, Trua and his mother were grouped with Tilikum. The three got along very well and Trua loved spending time with his grandpa. Takara moved in 2009, after becoming pregnant by Tilikum, while Tilikum and Trua remained together. For several years, he was the only whale who performed with Tilikum. He was also grouped with Kayla and Malia often. Trua tends to spend most of his time with Makaio now.
